About the collection:

After the closure of the Flag Museum in Józsefváros, the Balogh-collection, which is unique in the world, consisting of almost 4,000 flags and other national symbols, was transferred to our museum. The collection includes table flags, large flags, crest and related correspondence and documentation. The collection includes emblems donated by foreign leaders and ambassadors, as well as by Hungarian county and local governments. There are flags that are still in use today and those that are no longer in use, including symbols of states that no longer exist. There are also replicas of historical flags. The collection includes more than a thousand documents.

All flag related objects from the history of Hungarian trade, hospitality, tourism and protocol, even advertising flags from the 20th century or silk festive flags of guilds from the 19th century.
